I’m in love with the simplicity and minimalism of Arch. The AUR is a godsend, and I appreciate how much it respects you as the user. I especially like that it doesn’t come with anything, not even a GUI. Being allowed to configure my own system exactly how I want it has helped me build a new relationship with computing and exposed me to all sorts of tools and workflows I never would’ve tried otherwise.
I’ve come to really appreciate the terminal as the primary means of interacting with my computer. Whether it’s configuring/maintaining my system, writing (emails, code, this website), if it’s possible to do in a TTY, that’s the route I’ll take.
